Artist Bio
Danielle Ouellet is a contemporary Canadian artist living in Spain. Originally from Quebec city, she has lived in almost every corner of this big country (Canada) before moving to Spain.
She is a mixed media painter who works primarily with acrylic exploring diverse combinations with collage, charcoal, soft pastels, watercolour and ink. As a collagist, she always introduces some of her own painted papers and/or paint over it. Her love for layers picking through, brings depth and texture.
Creating with the intention of experimenting is central to her process. She works across canvas, paper and wood panel, utilizing a variety of tools not limited to paint brush, to create her own visual language.
Her work is a celebration of intuition, creative play, and the beauty of inner/outer landscape that she experienced. Influenced by her surroundings and life long learning experiences. Her goal is to infuse her artwork with uplifting energy to be felt by the maker and viewers alike.
